Hawel Teftekerni (حاول تفتكرني, "try to remember me") is one of the great long songs of Abdel Halim Hafez (عبد الحليم حافظ), composed by Baligh Hamdi. Nostalgic and deeply emotional, it is a favourite of his late-career concerts.

About Abdel Halim Hafez

Abdel Halim Hafez (عبد الحليم حافظ), known as the 'Dark Nightingale', was the romantic idol of Egypt's golden age of song and cinema. His long orchestral songs with composers Baligh Hamdi, Mohammed Abdel Wahab and Mohamed El Mougy, and his settings of Nizar Qabbani's poetry, remain among the best-loved recordings in Arabic music.
